Volunteer Opportunities
Meal service October through April:
Most of our volunteer opportunities involve our meal service (food prep, dining room setup and clean-up, serving, dishwashing and kitchen clean-up). These activities take place at Epworth United Methodist Church (UMC), 9008 Rosemont Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877

Student Volunteer age requirements:
TLT is an approved organization for MCPS SSL. Middle or high school students may serve and clean up from October through April. Middle schoolers need to be accompanied by an adult. Student Signup

Meal Service Team Schedules and Hours:
Volunteers are typically assigned to a team.
Teams typical only serve one day per month.
Meals are prepared and served Monday through Friday.
Meal Prep Hours: 1:00 – 3:30 pm
Dining Room Setup: 2:30 – 3:30 pm
Meal Servers: 3:30 and 4:30 pm
Clean-up: Washing dishes and pots and cleaning the dining room and kitchen 3:30 – 5:00 pm
